Three Public institutions of higher education serve the Coachella Valley. Committed to sucess, College of the Desert serves as the Community College. The new California State University San Bernardino Palm Desert Campus moved into the first building at it's permanent site in time for the start of 2002 summer classes, while the University of California Riverside's Richard J. Heckmann International Center for Entrepreneurial Management's firs building is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2004.
